Cambria 2-Night Camping Event
Mar. 11th – Mar. 13th
Accommodation: 1. Camping - San Simeon Creek Campsite
2. Hotel – decide by yourselves
Activities: Hiking, photographing, ATV, hot springs, Hearst Castle, Winery, etc.
We set off on Friday evening after work (3/11, 6-7pm), 4.5 hrs driving to Cambria. You can either choose to stay over at campsite or hotel. The campsite provides shower room.
3/12 Morning, we hike from Moonstone Beach Park to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, and watch the sun set here. It’s about 10 miles flat walking, not hard at all. We can buy the seafood in Cambria old town and go back to cook by ourselves at campsite. Another option is to have dinner in Cambria town. Personally, I would prefer to have 3/12 lunch in Cambria old town, because we will just pass it and visit some historical signs. This night still comes with 2 options – campsite or hotel, depending on you.
3/13 Morning, we can just take a short walk in Hearst San Simeon State Park (1 or 2 hrs around depending on how early we get up). After having brunch or lunch in campsite, we pack everything and go back. The afternoon is a casual driving. We can take a stop in Morro Bay for about 1-2 hrs. At 5pm, I would suggest to have an early dinner in Los Olivos – The greatest bacon of America is waiting for you to taste. Anyway, if everybody wants to home earlier, we can just change to have a late lunch here, skipping Morro Bay. Then we will arrive in Los Angeles at about 4pm.
Please kindly note that the Cambria Trip is just a casual one, not hardcore, but very relaxing and flexible. There are many other options for you to do, like visiting Hearst Castle, hot springs, shopping. You can invite any of your friends or families, or ask our members to go together.
Prepare your own gears: tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp light, headlamps, folding chair, cloths, etc.
Mutual gears: stoves, BBQ gears, food, water.
Pls. kindly contact Jane or Ken before Feb 20th via wechat. And Pls. let us know which accommodation you prefer during the 2 nights.
